Robert Long found guilty on an indictment for the highway robbery of John Shipman in the parish of Mountnessing on 28th  October 1734: robbing him of a pair of spurs (valued at 2/6), a gold guinea and a gold half guinea of his goods and money; also of a bridle (valued at 2/-) and a saddle (valued at 8/-), the property of Thomas Shipman.
